About Naustdal Dampbakeri
Naustdal Dampbakeri is not one café but three — all in Førde, all under the same company number and phone number, but with different opening hours and different characters. Bakeriet Kronborg at Sanderplassen 3 is where the production sits, and has been running since 1986: open 07:30–17 on weekdays, 09–15 on Saturday. Olefine at Elvetorget is on the shopping centre's first floor and stays open until 19:00 on weekdays. Olefine at Hafstadgården, Hafstadvegen 48, is the quiet meeting place with cheeses and cured meats.
The history goes back to 1888, when Ole Berntsen carried fresh buns and bread by boat to the hamlets around Naustdal. When the premises became too small in 1986, Ragnar and Olav Berntsen moved production to Kronborg in Førde. Today it is the fourth generation of Berntsens running the bakery.
The ingredients are named on their own page: coffee from Jacu in Ålesund, salmon from Svanøy and eggs from Gaular. Prices are not published anywhere — not on the website, Facebook or Instagram.
